Glass bathroom sinks As a wide range of materials for bathroom sinks have been introduced in the last couple decades, the glass sink came into being. You might wonder if glass sinks are practical for everyday use. The answer is a surprising but assuring “yes.” It is already given that the glass for a glass sink has to be unique. As you all know, glass tends to expand and contract, so it’s fair for you to assume that, if how water was poured into a sink made of ordinary glass, we’d have quite a problem. However glass that does not react to this kind of abrupt temperature change has been developed for uses. Further, it seems we are quite safe to use glass for washing in provided you don’t go overboard with the hot water, and don’t drop heavy things into the basin. Borosilicate glass is just one of the special types that can be used as
a glass sink. However, other problems such as scratches and limescale
can be quite problematic, so a buyer would need to consider alternative
options before deciding to go with glass. For example, a glass sink is
probably not the best way to go for a children’s bathroom.
